Building materials aren't like everyday retail goods. Once they've been cut, opened, or exposed to a site, they often can't be resold. This policy covers two separate things. The first is a 7-day goodwill window we offer if you simply change your mind, which we provide as a courtesy, since online sales in Jordan carry no legal cooling-off period. The second is your legal right to a remedy when materials arrive faulty or aren't what you ordered, which the law protects and this policy can't take away. Below is what we can and can't take back, and how refunds work.
Unused, unopened materials in their original condition and packaging can generally be returned within 7 days of delivery. That covers things like full, sealed bags, and whole tiles or stone that haven't been laid, cut, or damaged.
• Cement and other bagged binders once the bag is opened or the seal is broken • Cut-to-size or custom-cut stone and tiles • Special or custom orders made to your specification • Materials that have been installed, laid, mixed, or exposed to weather on site • Partial quantities from an opened pallet or pack where the pack can't be resold intact
To be accepted, returns must be in resalable condition, clean, and complete, and requested within 7 days of delivery. We may inspect items before approving a return and may decline items that show damage, staining, or wear.
If the return is because of our error (the wrong item, a shortage, or a defect on arrival), we cover the return delivery and make it right. If you're returning correctly supplied materials because you changed your mind or over-ordered, the return delivery cost is yours.
Because heavy materials have to be collected, handled, and re-shelved, a restocking deduction may apply to change-of-mind returns of large or heavy loads. We'll tell you the amount before you commit to the return.
Please check your order on delivery. If something arrives damaged, defective, or not as ordered, tell us at the time of delivery or within 48 hours, ideally with photos, and we'll arrange a replacement, a collection, or a refund at no cost to you.
Separately from the goodwill window above, Jordanian law gives you a remedy when materials are defective or don't match what was agreed, including a hidden fault that a normal check at delivery wouldn't have shown. In that case you can return the materials or keep them for a reduced price, and we'll work it out with you. Faults you could reasonably have spotted when the order arrived should be raised at delivery, as noted above. This right comes from the Consumer Protection Law and the Civil Code, and nothing in this policy replaces it.
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method where possible. For cash-on-delivery orders, we refund by bank transfer or CliQ. Refunds are processed once we've received and checked the returned materials, typically within 7 to 14 working days, with any restocking or return-delivery amount deducted where it applies.
Email us at support@bmtmaterials.com or use the Contact page with your order number and what you'd like to return, and we'll guide you through the next steps.
The price you see before you confirm is the price you pay. Your total is made up of the cost of the materials, the delivery cost for your governorate and location, and any applicable tax, all shown clearly before you complete the purchase. Product prices are in Jordanian Dinar (JOD) and don't include delivery until you enter your location.
